Frequently Answered Questions:

What is the story about?

The story begins at Astrid and Dotty's Organic Farm, Inn & Tavern. Astrid and Dotty have summoned a party from The Order of Mycology to investigate an investation of Night Tangles on their farm. Night Tangles are an ancient monster that many people believe to be contained to The Shadow Realm. But Dotty believes that the evil Table Company has been using Shadow Magic irresponsibly, and that their recklessness has placed the entire realm in jeopardy. The Party will meet Dotty for brunch where she will explain everything you need to know.

What is a rules light RPG?

RPG stands for Role Playing Game, a game in which players assume the roles of characters in a fictional setting. Players take responsibility for acting out these roles within a narrative, either through literal acting or through a process of structured decision-making regarding character development. "Rules light" just means there are not that many rules you need to learn.

What are the rules?

You will role play as one character. You'll learn a bit about that character and then build whatever backstory you think fits. It will be your job throughout the game to decide what that character does. Whenever you try to do something, you may have to roll a dice to see how successful you are. For example, if you want to swim across a river, you will roll a 20-sided die (d20) to see whether or not you make it across. Rolling a 20 would probably mean that you make it across. A 1 would probably mean you start to struggle halfway across. Here are basically all the rules:
