For Mo's eyes only!
If you are not playing Mo...
STOP READING!
Mo is an overachieving, type A, super nerd and sci-fi geek. You are a huge fan of the sci-fi franchise Soul Wars and talk about it all the time. It’s the number one facet of your personality.
Not only did you do your science fair project on Soul Wars being real, you are also the director of Oceanside High School’s production of Soul Wars The Musical!
This summer, you met the love of your life, DJ (who is playing the lead in Soul Wars The Musical). The two of you spend all your time together and are wildly in love! You even lost your virginity to each other (which is probably why you are now pregnant).
Your real name is Shawn but you prefer the name Mo, which is short for Gizmo82. It’s the screenname you use when communicating with people online. You choose it because your favorite Soul Wars character is Gizmo TI-83 and you were born in the year 1982.
Soul Wars I: A New Stone (1979) The first movie of the franchise, it introduces us to a coven of inter-dimensional time-traveling space witches known simply as “The Coven.” And, it tells the story of how Dr. Quantum, a member of The Coven, creates a magical rock called the “Soul Stone.” Gizmo TI-83, Dr. Quantum’s robot sidekick, steals it and runs away to an alternate dimension.
Soul Wars II: Quest for the Cursed Crystal Chalice (1981) In the second movie, Gizmo TI-83 is joined by other sentient robots while on a quest to find a cursed crystal chalice. Once acquired, they use it, along with the Soul Stone, to brew the Elixir of Life and become humans.
Soul Wars III: Revenge of Dr Quantum (1983) In the much anticipated final film, The Coven and The Android Rebellion fight an epic final battle in which Dr. Quantum kills Gizmo TI-83 and reclaims the Soul Stone.
The Adventures of Dr. Quantum and Gizmo TI-83 (3 seasons, 1990-1992) This British TV series is a prequel to the original films and follows a young Dr. Quantum, and a freshly booted up Gizmo TI-83, as they search for the ingredients needed to brew The Elixir of Life. The main tension of the series is Gizmo’s growing fascination with becoming human and Dr. Quantum’s continual dismissal. At the end of each episode, Gizmo would say something like “Beep. Bop. Boop. Dr. Quantum, do I have dreams?” To which Dr. Quantum would always reply, “Quit bugging Gizmo, let’s just talk about our next adventure.”
For the science fair, you presented your theories around alternate dimensions and how you believe a version of the characters from Souls Wars exist in an alternate dimension, very similar to ours. Your work built on the theories of Dr. Lauren Craft, a time travel scientist at Oxford University that many people have accused of being a cult leader. Much like Dr. Craft, and her followers (known as Soul Crafters), your theories have been dismissed by lesser minds and your project got last place at the science fair.
DJ is playing Gizmo TI-83 in the upcoming production of Soul Wars The Musical, which you are directing. Some people think DJ only got the part because you two are in love. But those people are wrong. DJ is supremely talented! In fact, DJ is perfect and you love them more than life itself! But, you haven’t told DJ you are pregnant yet…
Contact DJ. DJ does not know you are pregnant yet. Tell DJ you want to talk to them about something important at Andy’s party. If they seem nervous, tell them to “quit bugging out” (it’s become a sort of inside joke between the two of you and a way to reassure each other of your undying love).
If Jamie contacts you before the party, tell them what you think about their science fair project on Y2K. Their claims were all exaggerated; their methods were poorly described; and their conclusions were all illogical. You think Jamie only won the science fair because their mother is a famous fishing boat captain around town.
