SUMMARY

You, Andy Smyth, are often mistaken for Andy Smith because you are neighbors and your names are so similar.

Just last week, a bunch of people dressed as witches accused you of being Andy Smith and said that you stole their magic rock or something (the details are a little hazy because you were high at the time). They beat you up and stole your favorite bowling ball.

Oceanside’s local super hero, Captain Awesome, showed up just in time to scare them off and save your life. If Captain Awesome hadn’t arrived when they did, you are pretty sure the witches would have killed you. The whole thing really freaked you out.

ANDY SMYTH’S VISION MAP

Ever since the incident with the witches, you have been so worried about being mistaken for Andy Smith that you haven’t left your house. You spend most of your time hanging out in your basement, smoking weed, watching TV, tie-dying shirts and eating snacks.

Last night, as you fell asleep on the couch, you had a series of terrible visions. It’s hard to explain the first one, but someone named “The Author” said you’d be killed unless you went to Andy’s party.

The rest of the visions played out like episodes of a TV show. In each episode, you were at Andy’s party and, in each episode, Andy turned out all the lights at the very end. When the lights came back on, in some episodes, you were dead. In others, you were still alive, but Andy Smith was dead.

When you woke up, you wrote down everything you could remember as a dichotomous key / vision map. Your plan is to go to Andy’s party and try to survive the night.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: The below vision map will not make a lot of sense to you at this point in the game (it may never make sense to you), and you won’t need to reference it until Round Two. But, it is included here so that you can start to familiarize yourself with it. Do not tell anyone about Andy Smyth’s Vision Map.

BEFORE THE PARTY

Contact Parker. Parker is an exchange student and may not know you and Andy are different people. Educate them. Say something like, “Hey, I know you are new around here and I wanted to reach out and make sure you knew that I am Andy Smyth with a Y, Andy Smith, the host of the party, spells their name with an I. 

Contact Zorg. Zorg is new around here and may not know you and Andy are different people. Educate them. Say something like, “Hey, I know you are new around here and I wanted to reach out and make sure you knew that I am Andy Smyth with a Y, Andy Smith, the host of the party, spells their name with an I.
